Matt Payne
Atlanta Native
Having grown up in Atlanta, Matt has been tutoring in the area for over ten years. He has worked with students of all ages, from 2nd Graders up to Seniors in college, in Math, Science, History, English, Executive Functioning & Organization as well as in prepping for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, & ISEE.

Over the years, Matt has developed a passion for helping students to achieve their true potential through personalized 1-on-1 tutoring. With his life-long love of learning, he has achieved expertise in many areas of study. However, above all else, Matt takes most pride in his teaching and his ability to achieve that "aha" moment with his students. Or as he usually puts it: "We make stuff make sense!"

Matt lives in Inman Park, and he enjoys spending time in the neighborhood with his wife and new born daughter. While not tutoring, you may find Matt rock climbing at Stone Summit, working on his history podcast, or even playing guitar with his band at a local Atlanta porch festival!

Matt graduated from The Westminster Schools, received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and attained his Master's Degree from George Washington University.
